Campus IA is a joint venture of MGX, Bpifrance, Mistral AI and Nvidia on about 89 hectares of farmland at Fouju in Seine-et-Marne, about 40 km south-east of Paris. It targets 1.4 GW across 10 to 12 data centre buildings, with grid tranches of 240 MW by the end of 2027 and 700 MW before the end of 2029. Le Parisien put the total investment at about €50bn by 2038. The prefect authorised the project on 29 July 2026 after a favourable public inquiry.
Work on the electrical substation began in late August 2026 and archaeological digs finished in mid September. Phase 1 is targeted for 2028, with later phases planned for 2030 to 2033 and 2034 to 2038. Two legal challenges against the authorisation are pending. Fouju has 637 inhabitants, so crews base in Melun, Mormant and Sénart.
